Experienced Engineering Manager with engineering degree, sought for well established M+E organisation based in Highlands. With over 50 years within the industry, our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the business, take responsibility for all engineering matters and manage engineers. The opportunity of progression to director level indicates the calibre of individual we are looking for and the prospects on offer to the successful individual.
What they do:
Preparation of raw material (gas drying plant)
Casting (electric melting)
Finishing (mechanical plant)
Various ancillary equipment i.e. CNC, Filter system, Water cooling systems, compressors etc
As Engineering Manager you will take Responsibility for all engineering matters in the foundry.
Supervision/management of the two engineers, repairing machinery, routine maintenance and continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency of all plant.
An experienced engineer will quickly understand much of the plant and machinery in the foundry however specialist electrical knowledge of the melting and holding process will be required. Full training of these will be provided.
Experience/skills:
Experienced individual who has an engineering degree
Applicants who have electronic as well as mechanical knowledge will have the advantage
You need to be self-motivated, dynamic, able to take responsibility and make decisions in a challenging environment, ambitious and keen to progress within company.
Career Prospects:
The planned career path of the successful applicant would be from engineering manager moving to a combined engineering/productive position with opportunity to progress to director level within the company.
Salary and Package:
Salary £30-35,000 (+ bonus scheme and pension)
