A qualified Mechanically biased Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in a wide range of building maintenance projects gained from working within a “Critical Banking Environment” over the past 13 years is currently seeking a new permanent role. Based at the large Bank complex in the City he was placed there by PRS as part of the Day team where he has had the opportunity to expanding both his technical knowledge and hands on skills. Unfortunately he has just been notified that his role has become redundant due to downsizing of the contract as a result of the current pandemic.

He began his engineering career as trainee refrigeration and air conditioning engineer with Maxwell Stewart where he was operating on a mobile basis covering the planned preventative maintenance to split A/C units and HVAC equipment.

This candidate has developed a broad range of first hand knowledge, by carrying out the planned and reactive maintenance to all of the following: Small power & lighting, motors, plumbing (Leaks & blockages), fan coil units, CRAC units, power generator testing, AHU’s, 1st line boiler & chiller faults, pumps, calorifiers, perimeter heating etc.

An apprenticeship trained electrician that for the past 3 years has been working within the commercial building services sector has approached PRS for our assistance in securing a new challenge. He is currently working for a small maintenance provider as a walking mobile M&E maintenance technician responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance within several large commercial office complexes in the City.

He began his career by serving a full electrical apprenticeship with a small electrical contracting company where he was primarily carrying out electrical refurbishment and installation works to domestic, commercial buildings and schools. 

As a foot mobile engineer he is currently looking after the maintenance and repairs to tenant services where he is working on all of the following: Power & lighting, emergency lighting testing, fan coil units, pumps, BMS operation, AHU’s, leaks & blockages to toilets & wash basins etc. He also carries out minor handyman duties, including repairing furniture, replacing carpet tiles, hanging noticeboards and replacing door locks .

A dual qualified electrical and mechanical engineer who is currently working as a project manager for a small firm based in Essex. 

Before his current role he was employed as the Regional Facilities Supervisor for a large building services company on an insurance contract, leading a team of 6 fully qualified engineers from varying backgrounds and skill sets. Overseeing all aspects of engineering works for four sites covering the East of England, scheduling and organising internal Statutory and Non-Statutory PPM works, reactive works and including circa £400,000 worth of client led extra works within the sites ranging from small to medium scale projects. Responsible for staff development, internal training, budget handling, process control and improvement, client liaison across all sites, health and safety for all operatives on site, responsible for ensuring all KPI's and SLA's are met within the agreed timescales.

He was then promoted to the position of Facilities Manager. Candidate: Critical Services Engineer

Salary expectations – £33k+

Multiskilled Engineer with over 25 years experience in Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems and Building Services, working specifically in data centre and critical environments. Having served a full electrical apprenticeship, he is also qualified as an air conditioning engineer, obtaining both the City and Guilds Level 2 Air Conditioning, and the City and Guilds 2078 fgas qualification.

This candidate has also worked as a HV/AP in his previous roles. Most recently he spent 13 years with his last employer, initially working on site for the service provider, before being approached by the client to act as their technical specialist across the contract. Technically very strong, he prides himself on his communication skills, as well as his approach to health and safety. Candidate: Multiskilled Engineer with commercial ACS gas qualifications

Salary expectations – £33k+

Location – Walsall

Our candidate is a very experienced multiskilled engineer, who has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry. Has worked across a variety of different contracts, including data centres, healthcare, industrial and high street retail. Has worked as a multi skilled combustion engineer for a number of years, until taking a role as a shift engineer at a data centre in Birmingham in 2012 when his gas certificates expired. Following redundancy in March of this year and lockdown, he retook his commercial ACS certs as soon as the colleges were reopen in September, and is now seeking a suitable role.

Technical experience includes (but not limited to): Gas Burners, Oil Burners, Pipework, first line support for air conditioning (filter changes, cleans etc), AUH’s, FCU’s, pumps, motors, compressors, valves.

Our candidate started his career within Electrical Engineering and quickly progressed into the management of H&S and compliance. His main roles were with FM and building services contractors on large scale estates and sites where he rapidly developed and honed his skills starting with the H&S Oversight and moving to include building regulations, compliance, HVAC/M&E maintenance and soft services facility management. From here he built his reputation as a complete TFM who specialised in venue and estate management allowing him to genuinely bring a holistic approach in servicing the needs of the site(s). A believer and practitioner in partnership and close collaborative FM, his more recent experience has included Operational Management of accounts and the mobilisation of new additions to existing contracts, including a large proportion of soft services amalgamation.

While the term TFM is oft used this candidate is a genuine Dual Services/TFM with equal parts hard and soft facilities service experience.

A respected Royal Navy trained, Maintenance Engineer with both Mechanical and Electrical expertise, accumulated over a career as an Electrician followed by a 9 year spell as an Marine Engineer in the HM Submarine Service. He is due to complete his service on the 18th July 2021 and is keen to secure a position within the commercial HVAC maintenance industry where he can develop a successful career.

He began his career by serving a full Electrical Apprenticeship with a national power company, spending 5 years with them before joining the Navy.
