Job descriptionOur client are a fast growing and dedicated data centre provider, with a number of data centres across London and the UK, as well as a larger presence overseas. Due to extensive growth, with ambition plans underway to double in size through construction of new facilities, as an organization they are looking to reinforce their technical services team for a portfolio of their sites in West London. The company oversee the planned and reactive maintenance, with help of a 3rd party M&E provider to carry out the hands-on maintenance to electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, and are looking for individuals to join on both Mon-Fri roles, as well as an opportunity to perform the same technical management function on a 24/7 “continental” shift pattern.
Candidates will be either electrically or mechanically qualified, ideally through a full apprenticeship, with at least three years of experience managing within critical environments. Ideally this will be within the banking or data centre environment, and as such have knowledge of critical services maintenance as well as general escalation procedures. Additional training such as HV authorization, Data Centre Design, etc will all be beneficial and particular working knowledge should extend to:
Electrical & Mechanical Fault-Finding, Motors, Pumps, Diesel Generators, UPS Systems (Static & Rotary), BMS Operation, HV & LV distribution (Shutdowns, Isolations, Writing Schedules & Permits), CRAC Units, VESDA, Water Chillers, etc.
