My client is an ambitious niche Fire Security consultancy, and they are recruiting for a Business Development Manager.  In the role of Business Development Manager (BDM) they are looking for someone to sell maintenance contracts as well as additional project works on the back.
 
As a company, they provide a broad spectrum of fire systems from basic systems to one’s benefitting the world’s most advanced fire technology. As an independent firm, they’re committed to providing the best solutions to their customers.
 
They have 38 engineers across the UK, clients including B&Q & Poundland. With great people & great culture, they require a talented Business Development Manager with a strong knowledge of fire prevention & detection systems &/or security. You will drive forward new business sales of fire protection, detection and suppression systems & security systems across the UK.
 
The objective of this role is to prospect and generate new business sales from target accounts, customers and market segments to further develop their client base by:

  • Identifying and securing the required new business to achieve and exceed agreed sales targets – this business will be self-generated through a mix of cold calling, site visits, networking and pre-arranged appointments
  • Responding and tracking effectively all allocated sales leads and prospects
  • Providing and maintaining accurate forecasts, prospects lists/quote bank and sales status reports as required
  • Working closely with customers, by demonstrating a technical consultative sales style to maintain long term relationships, ensure effective customer service and generate ongoing sales revenue

 
To qualify for the role, you will have a background in selling fire prevention & detection systems & / or security. Autonomous & well organised, you must have an excellent command of English and will be well presented & personable. Applicants must have achieved a stable career and will have met sales targets consistently.
