Mechanical Engineer – Mobile
We are recruiting for a Mech Engineer to take ownership of general maintenance operations within Building Services.
The right candidate will take responsibility for ensuring that all facilities and equipment are maintained to the required standard with minimal down time to create the highest possible quality of experience for all sites.
They must ensure full compliance with all safe systems of work and risk assessments and ensure through effective and proactive maintenance programs that all systems operate efficiently, effectively and safely.
Key Objectives:
Ensure the health and safety environment for employees and visitors through effective planned preventative maintenance.
Maintain ride efficiency to the highest possible level.
Ensure full compliance with all statutory, regulatory and professional body regulations and standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Complete issued Planned Preventative Maintenance, Statutory and Inspection work orders within deadline, close jobs in a timely manner and update progress notes when required.
- Support Reactive Maintenance and complete these within agreed timescales via the Facilities Helpdesk Coordinator.
- Prioritise requests according to the hierarchy of workload control
- Ensure daily walk rounds of areas are completed and that remedial works are actioned immediately (e.g. lighting, toilet facilities, H&S issues)
- Support the technical team in delivering an attractive site assisting where possible.
- Liaise with procurement and technical management to ensure parts are purchased and fitted to exceed customer expectations.
- Effectively manage and plan own workload, ensuring deadlines are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
- Maintains a positive, flexible and efficient approach to the workload and ensuring that work is completed to high quality standards.
