PRS Southampton is looking for a reliable and experienced Fabric Technician to carry out service building maintenance works on a large commercial site in Southampton. The successful candidate will provide a professional service to our clients working on a varied selection of systems. You will be responsible for Planned maintenance, Reactive response, Specialist sub-contract work orders and remedial work orders. Provide Technical, Health, Safety and Environmental support & assistance as required. Work well within a team of other technicians and support each other when needed.
The hours are 40 per week. The shifts are 6am – 2pm and 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. These shifts are rotated weekly. You will also be required to be part of the call out rota with the call out being 1 in 4.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall responsibility for:
- Predominantly painting and decorating
- Day to day fabric repairs, in and around the client’s buildings
- Assist co-workers during busy periods, or where two person operations are required
- Adhere to both client and company procedures and policies, risk assessments and method statements
- Ensure reactive and planned tasks are completed within a timely manner
- Close out planned and reactive works via clients systems.
- Ensure a professional image of the company is presented to clients and end users, exhibiting high levels of customer service in the delivery of work.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Fully conversant with Painting fabric repairs and maintenance
- Having worked in the industry for a minimum of 2 years
- Having a basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Experience of maintaining the fabric of a building within a commercial environment
- IOSH working safely
- Minimum of C&G painting and decorating, carpentry or equivalent
