PRS are currently looking to support our globally recognised client in their search for a Handyman to work on their site in Cwmbran. This client offers excellent career progression and great company culture.
 
This is a temporary to permanent role and requires working from 8.00 to 16.00 Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is £15 an hour. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Handyman to get their foot at the door and work with a great client. 
 
Key responsibilities include:

• To undertake maintenance and reactive repair to fabric items such as door and windows, sanitaryware and flooring etc. To undertake minor decorating tasks and minor moves and porterage.
• To assist the technical team in undertaking maintenance and reactive repair works under guidance and within your levels of training or competency
• Be an essential part of the local team who will ensure the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on the site.
• Working in line with the Permit to Work System.
• Monitor site performance of sub-contractors and report poor performance.
• Use of IT systems (Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system.
• Take part in Appraisals/Performance Reviews including the recognition of training and development needs
• Participate in departmental team meeting and client DSS morning meeting when required
• Work in line with issued Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
• When necessary, to work with other engineers to provide a core presence at client sites within an extended weekday period
• When necessary, to undertake weekend/out of hours working to complete intrusive maintenance activities that cannot be undertaken in client operating hours
• Carry out tasks as directed by your direct line manager and/or Lead
• To deliver an ethos that promotes IFM with value focused on the customer and service to support P&G
