Salary between £40,000 to 42,000 (depending on experience). You will also get an on-call allowance + a vehicle will be supplied.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our client’s team in Reading with some travel into London, so you will need to have a full UK drivers’ licence as a van will be supplied and experience working as a mobile HVAC (Mechanical) Engineer.
Working hours are Monday – Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm.
What you will be doing:
As an experienced HVAC Engineer you will be required to carry out maintenance and servicing on HVAC assets, including but not limited to Chillers, VRV/VRF systems, single split and multi split systems within a commercial and industrial environment around the Reading area.
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of plant, equipment and industrial service supplies including:
o HVAC Plant and all associated Equipment
o Industrial / Commercial Chillers and various split systems
o AHU Plant and associated Equipment
- To carry out reactive repair tasks on site plant and equipment similar to the above.
- To undertake all duties in a safe, tidy and responsible manner in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
- To ensure that spares and materials are used in a cost-effective manner.
- To carry out other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time by site management or the client..
- To work as an on-call duty engineer as part of a team rota
- To complete site work order documentation to required site standards.
- To carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time.
What is expected from an HVAC Engineer:
- Solid background as a HVAC / Mechanical Engineer
- Relevant trade qualifications for the industry, e.g., NVQ, C&G etc
- Mechanically qualified or time served competent
- Data Centre experience would be helpful but not essential
- Refrigerant handling certification
- Knowledge of Permit to Work System.
- Ability to sustain effective relationships
- Undertaken relevant Health and Safety Training Or willing to undertake relevant training.
- Some Knowledge of Building Management Systems would be an advantage.
