We are recruiting for a resident lead engineer to work on a prestigious facility in the Leeds area.
You will be expected to have good all round knowledge of maintenance operations, general building services and other FM disciplines and be capable of supervising sub-contractors on the facility.

The role is a permanent position.
Salary is circa £40k plus overtime
Mon-Fri 40 hours per week
Circa 07:30 – 16:00
 
Description
Within the lead maintenance engineer role you will be carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility plus lead engineering and supervision.
The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carry out or support works that are outside your core discipline.
 
Duties & Responsibilities (DEPENDING ON YOUR BIAS)
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on:

• Electrical and mechanical plantroom
• Electrical power
• Lighting
• Controls
• Emergency systems
• Mechanical plant
• Splits
• Condensers
• AHU’s
• Fan Coils
• VRV’s

To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide H&S and compliance engineering on the facility
To undertake minor installation works
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
To support and lead other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
To supervise fabric and technical staff plus sub-contractors in site
Oversee and assist in compliance tasks
 
Skills & Background Required :
Recognised professional qualification in either Electrical or Air Conditioning
Ideally 2079 F-Gas & 18th edition
PPM and reactive maintenance experience
Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment
Must be presentable and reliable
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
Lead Engineering and compliance management
