We are recruiting for a HVAC Controls Engineer to join a dedicated maintenance and engineering team within a prestigious commercial facility in the Wirral area.

The role is a permanent position, Mon-Fri 40 hours per week with some flexible working/start-finish times.

Basic circa 45k plus package

HVAC Control Engineer Description:

Team member of technical team delivering technical planned and reactive maintenance

Operate the Trend BMS and its extraneous systems ensuring the HVAC systems are operating within specification across site

Duties will include working on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems

Maintain and service a wide variety of refrigerant systems, water chillers, air conditioning, catering refrigeration, walk in freezers/fridges, domestic fridges, various lab equipment, close control cabinets, cooling/humidity systems.

Operate within the site Permit procedure

Operate Safe System Of Work on site

Deliver all work in line with Permit System.

Carry out planned maintenance tasks without supervision

Carry out reactive maintenance tasks without supervision

Be involved in project scopes and install BMS elements within in project works

Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site specific or dynamic risk assessments

Monitor the BMS on a daily basis and manage/report any out of specification issues

Carry out BMS installation work to add and remove HVAC systems when necessary

Upgrade BMS controllers when required

Continuously review the systems and identify areas for improvement and energy reduction

Produce monthly and quarterly energy consumption reports on electricity, gas, water, compressed air and PV systems

Diagnose faults effectively and make good whenever possible.

Set up BMS recording of environments when required

Interrogation of BMS to enable fault diagnosis of HVAC systems.

Maintenance of variable speed drives.

Keep an up to date electronic F-gas log on site.

Carry out gas leak detection monitoring as per statutory frequencies

Sourcing parts and materials, obtaining prices and quotes for relevant parts.

Requirements:

Qualified HVAC or Mechanical biased building services engineer

Ideally F-Gas

Experience of Trend BMS and modifying settings

Plant room control systems

Ventilation control systems

Familiar with Facilities sector maintenance
