We are recruiting for a large FM client who is seeking a commercial plumber / pipefitter or Mechanical Engineer to work on a prestigious facility in the Manchester area. The work will cover PPM and reactive works plus small works and refurbishment projects on pipework, venting, pumps, valves and associated plant room.
The position is Permanent working a 37.5 hour week. Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. Salary is £34.5k plus retention salary increase after probation period.
Holidays 27 days plus stat, on-call one in five (£180 standby payment) and overtime.
Job Description:
Your role will be to cover general HVAC maintenance. The main aspects of the role will be to:
* Deliver a responsive breakdown and planned preventative maintenance service
* General building services engineering across mechanical plant including plumbing and venting
* Work to all policies / procedures and safe systems of work for estates related works in accordance with statutory requirements
* Provide maintenance to: Plumbing, pipework, venting, pumps, AHU’s, valves, feeds, motors and associated mechanical plant room equipment
* Minor project works / small works and refurbishment
* General compliance checks, tap temps and TMV’s etc.
Person Specification
An suitable mechanical Apprenticeship and a City and Guilds or equivalent is required for this role.
Qualified Plumber, Pipefitter or general mechanical engineering
Familiar with maintenance operations
Pipefitters welcome to apply as training will be given
Multiskilled background
Familiar with commercial grade equipment and sites
Excellent communication skills
Willing and able to clear a DBS and HEP-B screening
