PRS are working with a well established, highly reputable company who are actively recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer in Nottingham.
The role is looking for an electrical biased Multi Skilled Engineer. This is a static position working Monday to Friday. There is also on call 1 in 3 as well as potential overtime.
The purpose of this role is to carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, and respond to site engineering emergencies. You will also undertake small installation works, repairs to building fabric, handyman and porter duties. To take responsibility for the onsite Log Books, to include subcontractor management.
The key responsibilities for the role of the Multi Skilled Engineer are:
- Understand, anticipate and deliver customer (internal and external) needs while building effective relationships.
- Providing excellent customer service, by managing client expectations and ensuring information is communicated between the team and customers.
- Convey messages and ideas clearly and openly. Involve people and influence decisions.
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
- Carry out any reactive tasks within the agreed service level to include plumbing, fabric, electrical or porter duties.
- Complete building inspections, reporting and rectifying any defects and hazards as appropriate.
- Maintain domestic water systems to comply with the requirements with L8.
- Prepare, review and adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
- Maintain the onsite Log Books to ensure they are up to date at all times with the necessary documentation.
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that planned maintenance visits are carried out within the service level agreement, as well as arranging ad hoc visits as and when required.
The ideal person will have previous experience of working within a corporate and industrial Facilities Management environment, have an electrical qualification, PDA and computer competency, awareness of health and safety obligations within the FM industry, strong customer service skills, able to work within a team and have a high attention to detail.
In return, you will receive a salary up to £37000 plus overtime being available.
