We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in maintaining and servicing electrical systems in our commercial building services. The successful candidate will work on a shift basis to ensure that our systems are operating at optimal levels and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power distribution, emergency backup systems, and HVAC controls.
- Responding to emergency maintenance requests and outages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborating with other members of the facilities team to ensure the smooth operation of building systems.
- Conducting preventative maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to extend their lifespan and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and reporting on the performance of the electrical systems.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Working on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 City and Guilds in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a commercial building environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power distribution, emergency backup systems, and HVAC controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Experience with electrical safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
