Salary: up to £42k + van + fuel card
An experienced Commercial Gas Engineer is needed to help carry out services and maintenance on care homes (commercial sites) in the South, from Slough covering the south coast and one site in Bristol across the UK.
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, it is expected you will have experience with planned and preventative maintenance, including:
- Fault finding on the full spectrum of HVAC units.
- Responding to breakdowns and call outs
- Carry out small works installations (water heater installation/boiler replacements etc.)
- Providing accurate and timely job report and service sheets
The Job
The job will require you to service and repair all types of heating equipment, including but not limited to gas fired unit heaters, air handling units and gas fired boilers.
You will be expected to work call outs as part of your daily duties, therefore good experience and knowledge of gas fired heating equipment will be essential.
You will need to be able work under your own initiative to resolve all manner of faults and issues quickly and accurately.
Minor plumbing works will form part of the job description at times (egg repair leaks and pipework modifications for boiler changes and or heater alterations etc).
Qualifications & Attributes
Fully qualified commercial Gas engineer with current ACS Certificates.
- COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety
- ICPN1 Installation First Fix on Commercial Pipework
- CIGA1 Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
- BMP1 Gas Boosters
- CORT1 Overhead Radiant Tube & Radiant Plaque Heaters
- TPCP1a Tightness Testing & Direct Purging of Pipework not exceeding 1m³ in volume.
- Hot Water Systems and Safety Course (Vented & Unvented Hot Water Course)
