Excellent opportunity for a building services sector Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Plumber to join a busy and successful maintenance team to work on a large prestigious facility in the Manchester area.
We are looking for driven, professional and multiskilled engineers to assist in the HVAC maintenance within the estates.
The role will involve PPM and reactive maintenance to the mechanical pant such as commercial plumbing AHU’s, fan coils, pumps, pressure systems etc. plus minor installs.
The role is a permanent position paying circa 36-38k basic, plus overtime (no on call). Mon-Fri 40 hours per week.
Description
Within the mechanical maintenance engineer role you will be carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carryout or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on AHU’s, fan coils, pumps, venting and associated mechanical plant
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide H&S and compliance engineering on each facility
To undertake compliance checks
To undertake commercial plumbing, leak repair, fittings and services work
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
Skills & Background Required :
Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds or Plumbing Qualification
Mechanical maintenance background in commercial sized buildings
Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment
Must be presentable and reliable
Be capable of passing a security check
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
