We are recruiting for a Technical (M&E) Project Manager to lead on the delivery of power system installation from initial inception through to final handover. Projects will cover multiple disciplines including M&E, and specialist elements. The role is a permanent position paying between 60-70k plus package. The role covers facilities across the country therefore national travel will be required, centered around the Yorkshire region.
Technical Manager Description:
Ensuring accurate collation and compilation of project documentation to support the internal design team.
Ensuring client requirements & objectives are met whilst adhering to current regulatory and good practice standards.
Providing technical solutions and guidance on project deliverables to Project Managers & Site Managers when required.
Produce/assist in the development of accurate & comprehensive design drawing and technical submission packages from initial design through to completion.
Develop best practice and cost-effective solutions
On “live” projects, undertake with support of the operational teams onsite reviews to ensure quality of workmanship and regulatory standards and adherence to design are being met.
Support the continued growth of Technical & Design team through collaboration and innovative solutions.
Responsible for the development and solutioning of standby resilient power systems (typically generator & UPS systems) projects for new, replacement & the decommissioning of existing systems.
Produce detailed proposal information in both written and drawing formats.
Have in depth knowledge and understanding of commercial & industrial standby resilient power systems. Awareness of critical environments & Mission critical systems is essential.
Assist the commercial team where required to compile accurate and comprehensive cost submissions and reviewing of supply chain submissions for both commercial and technical merit.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of LV distribution and switching configurations including safety factor procedures is beneficial.
Organising and working with professionals/contractors in the development of new designs and or changes to existing projects.
To take complete ownership of pre-construction activities. Such activities including conducting site surveys and the detailed compilation of schedule of requirements documentation that have a direct link to the commercial team in the production of proposals.
Outsourcing of activities where required to specialists, consultants and sub-contractors.
Knowledge and understanding of local planning application process and conditions within pertaining to deployment of generator systems.
Have experience of modular UPS systems and their associated battery systems and the integration of within critical environments and infrastructure
Experience in CDM Projects in construction and building services
Experience in a management capacity in a multi skilled work environment.
Extensive experience of the fundamentals of the operation of standby resilient power systems.
Experience in the requirements for Fuel storage
BS7671 18th Edition Wiring regulations
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Understanding of combustion plant directive requirements
Driving License Essential
CSCS card holder
