Excellent opportunity for a building services sector Electrical Team Leader / Lead Maintenance Electrician to join a busy and successful maintenance team to work on a large prestigious facility in the Chester area.We are looking for driven, professional and multiskilled engineers to assist in the Electrical / building services maintenance within the estates.
The role is a permanent position paying circa 42k-44k (depending on multiskilled background etc.)On call 1 in 4 (£125 plus call out min 4 hours)Mon-Fri 6am-3pm & 2pm-11pm rotating40 hours per week plus overtime
DescriptionWithin the lead maintenance electrician role you will be carrying out and supervise all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site. The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carryout or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant, controls, lighting etc.Overlap with general HVAC, AHU, FCU and mechanical servicesSupervise maintenance teams on PPM and reactive worksOversee sub-contractors on site and ensure RAMS etc. are completed and loggedOversee compliance checks including tap temps, emergency lighting etc.To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreementsTo provide H&S oversightUndertake small works minor projects where requiredTo respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely serviceTo support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplinesClient liaison and reporting into the Site Manager
Skills & Background Required :Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering (Level 3 (or Part 1 & 2)18th editionMaintenance background in commercial sized buildings – PPM’s and reactive worksExperience of building services and general HVAC overlapExperience in lead and supervisory roles Conversant with H&S, CDM, RAMS paperwork and record keepingMust be presentable and reliableBe capable of passing a security checkAble to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externallyStrong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
