Our client is one of the leading entrtainment venues in the UK who are looking for an outstanding Head Pastry Chef for their exceptional and prestigious operation in Watford. The desserts and cake production are already at a high level but they are looking for a talented Head Pastry chef who can take them to the next level with imagination and style.
This is a full time permanent opportunity with an annual salary of £50,000, plus an excellent benefits package that can be discussed further upon application. Your working hours will be 5 days per week, with the flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
The Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for coming up with new and innovative ideas that are in keeping with the themes of the venue, and will be assisted by an experienced team and hard working pastry chef team. You will therefore have management or supervisory experience in a similar role of managing a chef brigade. Above all else you must have passion for your craft and be able to think outside the box when it comes to being creative.
You will be have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise key tasks daily. As you are responsible for a key department you will need to have good financial knowledge of stock ordering, waste control and budgets.
