We are recruiting for a Lead Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the M&E Supervision of facility services to key commercial estates across the Aberdeen region. The role is a permanent position paying 41,500 basic. 07:30 – 16:00 Monday – Friday plus over. 25 days holiday + BH, Flex Benefits, On Call Allowance
The M&E Lead Engineer will manage a diverse team of engineers supporting a site consisting of offices, laboratories and plant. You will Participate in assigned long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff
- Assume the role of Authorised Person High Voltage
- To support the FM in the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, standards necessary to maintain the integrity of ongoing operational activities and provide high quality service to customers
- Assisting the FM in providing accurate record keeping, including completed test sheets, routine rounds inspection sheets and work dockets containing durations of maintenance activities and observations.
- Demonstrate qualities to deliver the contract requirements through effective communication, training and personal development.
- Assist the FM in maintaining an up-to-date training database for you, and your line managed staff.
- Overseeing the supervision on contractors and ensuring contractor control processes are followed by all M&E staff at their location.
- Lead a team in responding to Helpdesk reactive maintenance/breakdown calls and carrying out remedial work as necessary, providing feedback information to customer and helpdesk as required.
- Developing and retaining knowledge of site system failures and their causes and effects.
Requirements:Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer up to Level 318th edition (if electrical)Experience of maintenance operations across large scale commercial estatesExperience of site supervision (in-house and contractors)Experience of compliance and H&S process and documentation, RAMS, CDM’s permits etc.Ideally previous AP works (high/low voltage)Valid driving license Client facing with excellent front facing skillsAble to complete and report on contractual requirementsHands-on abilities
