Job Overview
PRS are looking for a Fabric Technician to join our clients facilities management team based on a static site in Plymouth. Looking after the building and plantroom maintenance. This is a contract role starting on Monday 16th September for at least 2 weeks. The hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Fabric Technician Responsibilities
- Responsible for PPM, Proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames
- Responsible for other types of building services maintenance to include Fabric, Basic HVAC, Mechanical and electrical related tasks
- Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship
- Oversee electrical and lighting systems’ general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Fabric Technician Requirements
- Experience in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering Desirable
- Experience working on Maintenance within a commercial environment ideally within the facilities management sector
