Critical Engineering Manager – Canary Wharf – £65,000
Location: Canary Wharf
Salary: £65,000
Hours – Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM

Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to take on a critical role in one of the UK’s premier data centre environments? We are seeking a dedicated Critical Engineering Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, and development of our state-of-the-art facility in Canary Wharf.

Duties will include:

  • Performing HR duties such as recruiting, selecting, scheduling, counselling, and disciplining employees. Lead, motivate and support team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment. Including career development plants for all director reports and problem resolution
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure the reliable operation of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, UPS systems, generators, and electrical distribution.
  • Develop and implement preventive and reactive maintenance schedules to maintain high availability.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds Electrical Qualifications
  • HV AP 
  • Proven experience in a critical data centre or similar high-availability environment.
  • Strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of critical systems such as UPS, generators, and HVAC.
  • Effective leadership skills with experience managing a technical team.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to operational excellence.
