Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: City of London
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday to Wednesday (16:30 – 2:00am), Thursday (14:30 – 12:00am)
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a prestigious commercial office building in the heart of London. This role offers a unique shift schedule, providing a balanced work-life structure and a competitive salary of £50,000
This role requires a hard working Engineer with a background in mechanical maintenance, who can handle both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs efficiently. You’ll be responsible for maintaining mechanical plant equipment, such as pumps, filters and motors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance across a modern, high-tech office environment
- Ensure efficient operation of building services systems, with a primary focus on Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
- Replace and repair essential FCU components, including valves, actuators, and motors
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly with FCUs and related components
- Strong knowledge of building systems and compliance with health and safety standards
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform under pressure
- 5 years + as a mechanical engineer in an office or similar environment
- Has excellent fault-finding skills. – Majority of the fault finding will be done at nighttime
- Has experience in changing parts on FCU e.g. valves actuators motors.
- Driving License
- Fully Qualified mechanical engineer
