Multi-Skilled Engineer
Salary: £38,000 DOE
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am until 5pm
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established building services company with this site based in Hertfordshire. My client are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to be based in a critical environment located near Elstree. The candidate will be rewarded with a fantastic package including a £38,000 salary, clear progression path, overtime, pension, and career stability.
Job Purpose:
- To undertake both planned and reactive building maintenance tasks.
- To ensure buildings are operated and maintained in accordance with both relevant legislation and operating procedures.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of plant rooms and adjacent engineering/operation spaces.
- To undertake routine water monitoring tasks and weekly fire alarm tests, ensuring records are maintained.
- Willing to assist with works outside normal skill set as/if required.
- Working across multiple projects and minor works as requested
- Carrying out daily PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks
- Carrying out daily emergency callout tasks
- All Electrical work including lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS and lighting systems.
- Will be required to carry duties on toilets, drainage, tiling and sinks.
- Engineers must be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, Generators, LV systems, which will include the ability to fault find.
- HVAC plant
- VAV – VRV
- To communicate operational issues to the Supervisor when appropriate and proactively request support when required.
- Assistance in the preparation of estimates/quotations as required.
- Adherence to the Quality Management System applied to all M&E systems.
- To always be organised and proactive, ensuring that workload is prioritised and completed.
- To comply with Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures are always maintained.
- Reviewing RAMS from subcontractors to ensure standards are maintained.
