Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview
PRS are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our clients facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of both electrical and mechanical building services systems. This role requires a proactive approach to managing maintenance projects, ensuring the building operates efficiently and safely.
The hours are Monday to Friday. 7am – 4pm. Call out and overtime available.
Maintenance Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure effective workflow and productivity.
- Develop maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and support to maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Provide maintenance services covering both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Perform reactive and proactive maintenance to meet operational and compliance requirements.
- Oversee and supervise subcontractors while on-site.
- Maintain a range of Electrical Building Services equipment, including: LV systems, General lighting, Building controls, Small power and distribution, BMS systems, Other equipment in commercial/industrial premises.
- Manage daily tasks and subcontractors independently.
- Work weekends or out-of-hours for intrusive maintenance activities.
Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or Mechanical maintenance.
- 18th Edition
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a maintenance role in a commercial environment
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
