Mobile Engineering Supervisor
Location: Woking, Surrey
Salary: £45,000 – £47,600 per annum
Contract: Temp to perm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Engineering Supervisor to join a small facilities management (FM) team supporting a number of commercial sites in Woking, Surrey. The successful candidate will oversee mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and safety across the contract.
This role is for an immediate start.
Engineering Supervisor Job Purpose:
- Manage planned and preventative M&E maintenance using both in-house and contracted resources.
- Ensure all plant and equipment comply with current regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Resolve issues raised by stakeholders and deliver cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee statutory and health & safety inspections.
- Line manage the in-house maintenance team.
Engineering Supervisor Main Responsibilities:
- M&E Maintenance: Oversee maintenance works, including compliance testing (e.g., water temperature, emergency lighting), fault-finding, and repairs.
- Planning and Records: Effectively plan and prioritise workloads, maintaining accurate records of tasks and resource usage.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to current legislation and good practice.
- Collaboration: Work closely with compliance managers, surveyors, and the helpdesk to achieve efficient operations.
- PPM and Reactive Works: Manage tasks through the CAFM system
- Stakeholder Engagement: Keep customers informed about ongoing works, ensuring clear communication and appointments where necessary.
- Team Management: Provide leadership for the in-house maintenance team, including personal development reviews.
Engineering Supervisor Requirements:
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience in M&E/ Building services maintenance.
- Electrically or Mechanically qualified C&G NVQ or equivalent.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and building management processes.
Additional Information:
The role requires participation in the management call-out rota and occasional flexibility to meet service demands.
