Critical Technical Services Manager – Canary Wharf – £70,000
Location: Canary Wharf
Salary: £65,000 – £70,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking for a critical role in one of the UK’s premier Critical Banking environments? We are seeking a dedicated Critical Technical Services Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, and development of our state-of-the-art facility in Canary Wharf.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform HR duties including recruitment, scheduling, counselling, and disciplining team members.
- Lead, motivate, and support your team in a fast-paced, demanding environment, focusing on career development and problem resolution.
- Manage a team of engineers to ensure the reliable operation of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, UPS systems, generators, and electrical distribution.
- Develop and implement both preventive and reactive maintenance schedules to ensure high availability.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts to guarantee performance and compliance.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications
- HV AP (High Voltage Authorised Person)
- Proven experience in a Critical Banking Environment or similar high-availability environment.
- Strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of critical systems (e.g., UPS, generators, HVAC).
- Effective leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a technical team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
