Multi Skilled Technician
 
My client is looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to ensure the safe operation and reliability of the attraction, including compliance with all health and safety, environment, statutory legislation, and COSWP.

About the role
This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours a week. Due to the nature of the business a flexible approach is needed as shifts will include 1 weekend and 4 night shifts per month. 
As Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment and rides are maintained to the required standard with minimal down time to create the highest possible quality of experience for all visitors.  You will ensure full compliance with all safe systems of work and risk assessments and ensure through effective and proactive maintenance programs that all systems operate efficiently, effectively, and safely. As and when required you will fully support other attractions within the London cluster.
The role requires you to undertake the Duty Engineer role whilst the building is in operation, meaning you will liaise closely with the facilities and operations team as well as managing external contractors whilst on site.

About you

You’ll fit right in if you: 

• Have completed a recognised apprenticeship or hold a recognised qualification (e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, NVQ level 3, ONC in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline or a comparable national or service qualification)
• Understand electrical principals appropriate to mechanical systems
• Understand AC/DC motor application and principals
• Demonstrate a fault diagnostic approach to electrical and electronic system’s need someone that can work on own initiative and exhibit characteristics of strong self-discipline, as well as being able to work with others and able to adapt to working in a demanding environment.
