Overview
- Based across a portfolio of some of central London’s finest serviced offices you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and suitable workplace environment and be the go-to person for client maintenance issues. As Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor, you will be assisting in the operation and maintenance of the site’s electrical infrastructure whilst overseeing works completed by the maintenance team across the city.
- Responding to both reactive and preventative maintenance requests, an ability to prioritise workload to meet service level agreements is essential. The role will include supervising a multi skilled engineering team providing support and overall responsibility for any electrical works. Senior Facilities Manager
Responsibilities
- On the tools” supervisor to multiskilled team covering around 30 London offices.
- Working collaboratively with the facilities helpdesk team to provide high level service to client
- Based on the client sites providing superb face-to-face support
- Carry out a preventative maintenance program on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment on cluster of 4 buildings
- Carry out reactive repairs to M&E systems and equipment (including plumbing) as per service level agreements
- Sound understanding of electrical distributions systems, maintenance, and repair
- Liaising with Centre Managers on a day-to-day basis regarding M&E issues
- Organizing and overseeing contractor visits to multiple sites in-line with client processes
- Providing out of hours support as part of on-call rota and escalation
- Arranging team cover for staff holidays and absence
- Acting as escalation point for site teams
- Auditing team works to ensure standards are met and legislative requirements are met
- Other reasonable requirements to normal building maintenance expectations
- Identifying process improvements to increase functionality of the team
- Carrying out regular check-in points and meetings with the team to ensure all team members are supported as required.
Requirements
- A degree, HNC, HND, City & Guilds or NVQ (Level 3) in electrical essential
- Excellent communication skills
- IT literate, email, and word
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Experience working within electrical engineering/maintenance field
- Experience working to service Level agreements
- Willingness to travel around London based sites (foot mobile)
- Experience using CAFM systems (desirable)
- Proactive and positive person
- Working with a dynamic, multi skilled and fast paced organisation
- Building relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues
- Working with our client to maintain their prestigious building portfolio

- 18th edition or equivalent is essential.
- The candidate does not need to have previous line management experience but that would be desirable.
- We are looking for strong FM background with at least 2 years of building maintenance experience.
