Electrical Shift Engineer – Critical Commercial Environment – Hammersmith, London
A leading facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to support operations at a high-profile, critical commercial site in the Hammersmith area.
This is a key role within a 24/7 environment where electrical reliability, safety, and compliance are essential to maintaining business continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and monitor critical electrical systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
- Respond to alarms, faults, and emergency situations
- Support electrical switching operations in line with site procedures
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and electrical safety rules
- Accurately complete shift handovers, logs, and reports
- Liaise with specialist contractors and service providers
- Support incident response and escalation processes
Requirements
- Strong electrical background with relevant qualifications
- Knowledge of LV systems, generators, UPS, and critical power distribution
- Experience working on a shift pattern
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
