The Role
 
We are seeking an experienced Projects Director to lead and oversee a portfolio of building services projects. Based at the Kent Head Office (with occasional site travel), this senior leadership role involves driving projects from concept through to successful completion—on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a key opportunity for a proven leader in the M&E/Building Services sector to make a lasting impact, shaping project delivery and mentoring a high-performing team while supporting the continued growth of the business.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

  • Strategic leadership– Develop and implement project management strategies, policies, and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Project delivery– Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring robust planning, execution, and compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
  • Financial accountability– Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost control to ensure commercial targets and profitability are achieved.
  • Proven success– Deliver projects valued between £250,000 and £3.5m with both end users and main contractors.
  • Team leadership– Mentor and develop Project Managers and support staff, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Client relations– Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure expectations are exceeded.
  • Safety & quality– Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture and apply rigorous quality control processes.
  • Resource optimisation– Ensure internal and external resources are allocated effectively to meet project demands.

 
Candidate Profile
 

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years in a senior project management or director-level role within the M&E/Building Services sector.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering high-value, complex projects.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills, including P&L responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, building regulations, and H&S legislation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential for site travel).
