Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – £45,000 – Liverpool Street
Location: Liverpool Street
Salary: £45,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours – Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Banking Contract overseeing Mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance as well as other Mechanical duties. The candidate will be rewarded with a fantastic package including £45,000 salary, clear progression path, pension, overtime, and career stability. The Engineering Technician (Mechanical) supports the Technical Supervisor and AOM (Area Operations Manager) providing a reactive and pre-planned maintenance service to building engineering systems and services at various sites in accordance with laid down procedures and safe working practices. To carry out maintenance, fault finding and repair on all Mechanical systems as directed by the Technical Supervisor or the AOM. To ensure the uninterrupted and continuous supply of systems being maintained.

Duties:
- Maintain all mechanical equipment and assist with all other PPM routines as instructed.
- Undertake mechanical work safely in compliance with mechanical standards.
- Complete suitable risk assessments prior to undertaking work and complete the appropriate documentation in full.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are correctly used and maintained.
- Diagnose faults on equipment and repair as necessary using manufacturers manuals and drawings as required
- Record and report any risk, loss or defect to management for corrective action.
- Liaise with the Technical Supervisor, AOM and Workflow Helpdesk for both demand and planned maintenance tasks and respond to other requests as necessary
- Report any mechanical/electrical problems affecting the day-to-day operations to the Technical Supervisor.
- Ensure Site Activity Log Books are completed in a timely and accurate manner and are maintained in accordance with procedures
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports as required or instructed.
Requirements:
- NVQ (Level 3) Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Manual Handling awareness
- Legionella awareness
- PASMA
- IPAF
