We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work on a mobile basis across Manchester on key secure estates. The work will cover PPM and reactive works plus minor works on AHU’s, FCU’s, pipework, venting, pumps, valves, associated plant room plus general compliance and fabric works.
The position is Permanent working circa 40 hrs / week. Monday to Friday days. Salary is up to 38k basic. On-call circa 1 in 10 (£100 standby plus OT). Van supplied etc. Overtime available (x1.5/x2.0)
Job Description:
Your role will be to cover general Building Services maintenance. The main aspects of the role will be to:
* Deliver a responsive breakdown and planned preventative maintenance service
* General building services engineering across mechanical plant
* Work to all policies / procedures and safe systems of work for estates related works in accordance with statutory requirements
* Provide maintenance to: HVAC, Plumbing, pipework, venting, pumps, valves, feeds, motors and associated mechanical plant room equipment
* Minor project works / small works and refurbishment
* General compliance checks, tap temps and TMV’s etc.
Person Specification
An suitable mechanical Apprenticeship and a City and Guilds or equivalent is required for this role.
Familiar with maintenance operations
Familiar and experienced with AHU’s, Fan coil Units, plant room kit, general pipework etc.
Multiskilled background
Familiar with commercial grade equipment and sites
Excellent communication skills
Able to pass a Security Clearance
