A rare and exciting opportunity has come up to work for the growing facilities maintenance company in a Iconic Banking Establishment located by Liverpool Street Station.
Join a leading financial institution located in the heart of London’s financial district. Our state-of-the-art facilities on Fenchurch Street demand the expertise of a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of all electrical systems within the building. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where reliability and efficiency are paramount.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, UPS, and generators, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Quickly identify and rectify faults in electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Carrying out daily emergency callout tasks
- Completing logbooks and RAMS
- Attending client meetings
- Emergency lighting testing
- All Electrical work including lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS, lighting systems and Heat exchangers
- Will be required to carry duties on toilets, drainage, tiling and sinks.
- Engineers must be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, Generators, LV systems, which will include the ability to fault find.
Requirements:
- Technical Certification: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. A relevant City & Guilds qualification is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a high-reliability environment such as financial services, data centers, or critical infrastructure.
- Skills: Strong fault-finding skills, experience with building management systems (BMS), and familiarity with UPS systems and emergency power generation.
- Shift Work: Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
- Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations, particularly within a commercial environment.
