Shift Engineer – Critical Facilities / Data Centre

Our client is seeking a technically skilled Shift Engineer to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems within a high-availability data centre setting.

Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain LV/MV electrical systems, mechanical plant, HVAC, UPS, and generators.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults to support maximum system uptime.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works.
Perform authorised high and low voltage switching in line with Safe Systems of Work.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring all works meet compliance and health & safety standards.
Utilise BMS, PMS, and CMS systems for monitoring, reporting, and fault management.
Requirements
Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent recognised technical qualification.
Proven experience within critical facilities, data centres, or other high-pressure environments.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, and building safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving ability with strong teamwork and communication skills.
Certifications such as NCC, REC, or equivalent are desirable.
