Job description
We are recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to work on a commercial facility in the Durham area. The candidate with provide HVAC-R plant services upkeep and maintenance on the contract. The role is a full time permanent position paying up to 35k.Monday-Friday 40 hours per week. Days.
The Air Conditioning Engineer will provide a variety of Air Conditioning / Chiller / Refrigeration building services maintenance to the site and their plant room. The equipment can cover Splits, VRV's, VAV's, chillers, refrigeration, AHU's and fan coils plus general mechanical plant room.
Complete PPM and reactive maintenance works
The emphasis is on providing a world class building maintenance service
To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times.
To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately.
Ensuring compliance with H&S regulations, risk assessment, COSHH etc.
Suggest improvements and innovations to improve the service provided.
Qualifications:
City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent
AND
NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems
OR
NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation
OR
NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation Service & Maintenance
IPAF / PASMA
Applicants with electrical qualifications will be preferred.
Experience
Significant experience in providing air conditioning and HVAC related building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance and installation.
Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties.
Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.
