Job descriptionWe are recruiting for an experienced and professional Boiler & Gas Plant Engineer to work on a prestigious facility in the East Cheshire region.
The role is a permanent position with career opportunities to advance further within the business. The applicant will provide maintenance and small works services to the boiler plant, gas, steam, HVAC and compressed air systems within the facility. On offer is a basic salary of 40-44k depending on experience based off a 37.5 hour week, and benefits package
Boiler Plant Engineer Description:
Responsible for assisting the coordination of minor installations work and ensuring maintenance of site electro-mechanical systems including Compressed Air, Steam, Pressure, Water and Gas, ensuring that all equipment within responsibility and control is correctly operated, maintained and repaired to maximise plant operational efficiency
The Plant Engineer shall undertake the role with minimum supervision, maintaining a flexible approach, focusing on the needs of the Client and effectively following the quality processes and procedures put in place
Assist the Operations Manager and Technical Coordinator to manage all operational and maintenance tasks associated with the CHP and Utilities Services to ensure compliance and that the work is efficiently and effectively carried out and recorded
Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and procured within the Maintenance Management System and Procurement Systems
Develop and maintain effective O&M procedures, operating instructions, drawings, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the Site / Contract
In conjunction with the Operations Manager and Technical Coordinator, take ownership for the planning and management of plant outages, major overhauls, preventative maintenance schedules and routine maintenance activities ensuring alignment of Maintenance Strategy with that of the Client
Extensive knowledge and preferably proven experience and delivery of process plant operations, engineering and maintenance
Relevant Engineering discipline
Formal health and safety related qualification e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
Gas System qualifications (essential)
Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) trained (essential)
Professional membership (desirable)
