Job description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong background in selling Maintenance Contracts within the facilities management or general construction contracting industry who has a track record of securing high value contracts especially within the commercial and public sector. Will be involved in both strategic planning & day-to-day operations, to grow and develop new accounts across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have vast experience of working within Facilities Management sector and will hold some well established relationships/ contacts within the sector. Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience of working within a sales environment and be an enthusiastic results driven individual.

The successful candidate will be expected to grow revenue from day one of employment and meet sales objectives through a strategic sales plan. You will be expected to communicate with potential clients on the phone, face to face, networking events and exhibiting/ speaking at conferences & client meetings. The candidate will be expected to bring in £1 million – £3 million worth of contract in the first 12 months.


In return, we are offering a salary around £45,000 per annum plus a structured bonus structure and benefits package (Including Car allowance, life insurance & pension). The Successful candidate should expect to the take home £100,000 + per annum if targets are met.
 
The ideal applicant will have: Proven Sales experience within Facilities management industry. Knowledge of Facilities Management practices & solutions. Solid awareness of H&SE guidelines and cost management. Should have working knowledge / rules & regulation/approval processing with Facilities management Experienced in securing service contracts, agreeing SLA`s etc Solid communication, presentation, reporting and time management skills. 

Strong business account management & sales approach with strong business management practices. Capable of playing a leading role in a team-work environment. Experience of sales in facilities management and property development in the public & private sectors. Securing and closing new MEP and building maintenance contracts within the UK. New business development, and managing job costing, tenders, pricing and commercial documentation.
