Our customer are a well established property and real estate organisation who have an upcoming requirement for technically minded lead engineer/supervisor to be based at one of their high profile and long-held M&E maintenance contract based in London’s Canary Wharf. A Monday to Friday role, with a guideline salary of up to £48,000 for the right individual, the role will involve delivering planned and reactive maintenance for both landlord and tenant services across a multi-tenant and multi-storey tower building, as well as working alongside a contract manager to direct M&E engineers, maintain record & logbooks for regular auditing, and working closely alongside the building’s consultant.
Candidates will be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally through a full apprenticeship, with at least three years of experience as a lead/supervisor post within the commercial building services sector. Along with core qualifications, additional training such as IOSH Managing Safely, HV Authorisation (or Previous), 2391, etc will all be beneficial and particular working knowledge will include:
Electrical & Mechanical Fault-Finding, Single & Three Phase Power, Pumps, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarms, BMS Operation, Air Handling & Fan Coil Plant, VRV/VRFs, Water Treatment (Dosing, Tests, etc), Cooling Towers, HV & LV Distribution (Annual Shut Downs), 1st line Chillers & Boilers, etc.
This is an exciting position to work at a high profile and stable contract, which the maintenance organisation have held for circa 10 years. As such, they have a good relationship with landlord and tenants, which they want to continue to develop with their new contract supervisor. For the individual, this is a high profile building for an ambitious and technical supervisor to join, for one of the largest commercial maintenance providers in the UK.
