Job description

Data Centre Engineering Supervisor
(FM Organisation, M&E maintenance)
Central London
£50-55,000 Salary
Pension & Benefits Scheme

A well established Facilities Management and M&E maintenance services, have a requirement for an engineering supervisor/site manager to join them based across two critical environment sites based in Central London. Due to an internal promotion, this is a vacant position now signed off by their client, a large multinational data centre organisation. Position will involve man management of a team of 24/7 shift engineers, maintaining critical services and uptime across the two data centres. Guideline salary is circa £50-55k annually, plus benefits.
Candidates must be technically qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally through an apprenticeship with at least three years of supervisory/management experience within critical services maintenance (banking, data centres, etc). Along with core training, additional expertise such as being HV Authorised or F-Gas trained would be beneficial. Particular working knowledge will include:
Electrical & Mechanical Fault-Finding, Motors, Diesel Generators, Static & Rotary UPS Systems, HV & LV Distribution (AP, switching, permits), BMS operation, Air Handling Plant, VRV/VRFs, Close Control AC Units, Water Chillers, 1st line Boiler Faults.
This is an excellent opportunity for an existing supervisor or manager to join an established M&E services provider with the chance to develop into a future contract management position. With the data centre market seeing unprecedented growth over the last few years, and unhampered by the recent impacts of the COVID pandemic, this is a recession proof market sector which shows no signs of slowing down.
