Job description
Currently recruiting for a Data Centre Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) in the Leeds area work for a leading Critical Engineering company. As the Data Centre Engineer you will be reporting to the Data Centre Manager and your main duties will include, both planned and reactive hands-on maintenance services, working with third party partners to ensure truly integrated facilities maintenance and carrying out testing and support. The role is a permanent position paying between 40-50k basic depending on entry level and experience. The role is based of a repeating shift pattern which may involve backshifts and night work.Candidate requirements
The successful candidate will need a strong electrical background for both PPM and reactive maintenance covering specialised service experience across the data centre facilities. We are looking for a well presented engineer with strong people, verbal and written communication skills. The role will involve the maintenance of the sites critical systems such as power and back backup, cooling systems and all associated plant such as UPS, life safety systems, generators, CRAC units and control systems.
Methodical approach to all tasks.

-Able to supervise 3rd party contractors if required.
-Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
-Excellent understanding of Health and Safety at Work
-Willing to undertake training/courses to improve skill set as required.
Qualifications/Skills required:
Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications including required updates such as 17th/18th edition
Ideally to have former AP experience
Familiar with data centre equipment including UPS, Battery backups/Gen Sets and close control.
Previous experience of data centre facilities and such requirements on site.
