Data Centre Technical Shift Manager - £54k + £5,000 Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits 

Hampshire/Surrey (Continental Shift Pattern)


The UK’s leading maintenance provider is currently seeking an additional Technical Shift Manager to be based on one of their flagship hyperscale data centre contracts. Based at a state of the art modern data hosting site this is an exceptional opportunity to progress your career further within one of the fastest growing M&E maintenance sectors.


Reporting to the Data Centre Technical Manager, the Technical Shift Manager will support the site team on all technical plant aspects, coordinating PPM and break/fixes working between the DCM and the Facilities shift teams. The scope includes Data Centre management, working closely with new and existing customers, operational continuity and the management of service delivery on the sites/campus through the direct specialist and subcontractor teams who undertake M&E tasks. 

  • Witness all critical works on site 
  • Management of M&E tasks to ensure service delivery meets expectations 
  • Support the Data Centre Manager on customer requirements, drawings, pricing and implementations. 
  • Maintaining zero customer down time including any breaches to contractual SLA’s and KPI’s. 
  • Ensuring the management of own staff and sub-contractors, working across the Data Centre, ensuring contracted service delivery is being received and that reactive tasks are being logged and actioned 
  • Validating all PPM’s are completed on time, managing any faults or advisories that have been reported are logged and tracked through to completion. 
It is essential that you come from either a Data Centre or Critical Facilities |Service background and to have previous or current managerial experience. You can come from either a electrical or mechanical background but must essentially be multi-skilled. Both Technical and hands-on knowledge of H/V systems, UPS, Power Generators, BMS and Close Control Air Conditioning systems is essential.
