Job description
Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the SME team covering all In House Data Centres in the UK and across EMEA for one of the Globes leading Data centre build, design, operate and maintain organisations. Successful candidates will be working g within the Specialist Engineering teams, assisting and providing technical support to all Regional Engineering o site teams, Data Centre managers and Engineering Supervisors. This role provides support, expertise and preventative maintenance suggestions on Mechanical infrastructure, cooling water and HVAC systems amongst others, to the business to ensure the successful and efficient operation.This may include site-specific improvements, region-wide improvement programmes, and oversight and reporting throughout. The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role during incident and follow-up, including taking part in incident calls, root cause analysis exercises, and supporting sites throughout the resolution of problem tasks. The Mechanical Engineer may play a consultative role in the review of high-risk changes and incident reports.
All potential candidates MUST come from a highly technical environment, ideally, a Data Centres or Critical Engineering background, be capable of managing relationships via technical dialogue both upstream and downstream management and have the ability to add REAL Technical Value.
