Job descriptionOur customer are a well established commercial & residential property organisation with a global reach, currently seeking an engineering manager to join a high profile commercial building they manage in the Canary Wharf area. This is a high profile multi-tenant 15 storey building, comprising financial and corporate customers, following an extensive refurbishment of a number of floors. Guideline salary is between £70-80,000 for the right individual, as well as pension scheme, healthcare, etc.
Candidates will be electrically or mechanically qualified, ideally through a full apprenticeship, with at least three years of experience managing within a commercial building services environment. Role will involve managing a 3rd party M&E contractor, as well as regular auditing and compliance testing for site, as well as involvement with some involvement with projects and refurbishment works for building.
With a demanding tenant, this role will suit an individual experienced in running a similar large, multi-tenant site within a corporate environment. Those who have worked within the financial services environment would have an advantage, to help manage the buildings’ mixture of both financial and regular corporate/commercial customers.
As the liaison with both building owners and tenants, alongside responsibilities with management of the M&E contractor, the role requires an enthusiastic individual who can foster positive working relationships with key stakeholders. With this being a new building being taken on by the managing agent, it is important they get the right character who embodies the customer service ideals of the employer.
