Engineering Supervisor - Cambridge - £48K
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £48K + Plenty of Overtime
Hours – Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM

An excellent opportunity to work in a Brand-New State of the art complex in Cambrridge has arisen with one of the UK's largest Engineering companies. Operating for many years, this company is well established with strong client relationships however is still growing strongly which will provide excellent career progression opportunities.

Duties will include:

  • Close liaison and working relationship with the Client/Tenants
  • Responsible for the managing of the site which will include efficient management of all labour, plant, equipment, materials, logistics, movements, interfaces, risks, opportunities.
  • Responsible for identifying risks to health, safety, quality, and the environment and engaging with other stakeholders to ensure that adequate risk management is maintained at all times.
  • Operate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective, and efficient manner
  • Manage all PPMs for the engineers and also supervise all sub-contractors to ensure there is no disrupt to the clients services.
  • To control, monitor and update the building planned maintenance/access control systems.
  • Compile quotations to client
  • Have a detailed understanding on BMS systems
  • Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work
  • Completion of PPM and reactive tasks and update the system.
  • Ensure that daily tours are completed and repair or report any defects found via the Landlord/Tenant helpdesk
  • Identification of materials required to be ordered in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or recognised equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Registration or Recognised equivalent or
  • Approved apprenticeship or appropriate experience within Building Services
  • Health & Safety Training
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience is required.
