Maintenance Engineer Position in East London




Salary of up to £32,000

I am currently recruiting for an exciting new position for one of my most valued clients, a company who specialise in the redevelopment of office space to help suit their clients ever-growing requirements. They work closely with technology companies to create accessible, modern, innovative workspaces that make their tenants work life’s easier and allow them to achieve maximum productivity.

The role is a maintenance engineering position covering multiple sites in the east London area carrying out day to day reactive and planned preventative maintenance including general building and fabric maintenance tasks.




Duties to include:

·        Painting, decorating,

·        Basic plumbing tasks such as blockages, tap & sink replacements

·        Putting up whiteboards, TV’s & signage

·        Plastering

·        Tiling

·        Minor carpentry works,

·        Installing new locks

·        Adjustments to door closers & flooring repairs

·        Basic electrical duties i.e. replacing light bulbs & undertaking the weekly bell test on fire alarm systems throughout the portfolio




Suitable candidates must have experience working in a similar role for at least 2 years, worked in a similar environment and familiar with both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. Its is also essential that you are qualified or at least highly skilled in carpentry, partitioning and window fitting as well as being Fire Marshal & First Aid Trained. You must be flexible and adaptable, able to work well both independently and as part of a team and be prepared to work unsociable hours i.e. early starts or late finishes as per agreed contractual hours/rota.
