Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Southampton, Hampshire. PRS are currently looking for a Plant room service operative/ Fabric Technician to be based at a commercial site in Southampton, Hampshire. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a handy person ideally with some plant room maintenance experience. This is Monday to Friday role from 6am – 2pm. The hourly rate paying £14 per hour.
Provide a range of general support and FM services at a client site in Southampton ensuring business continuity is maintained at all times. Monitor and manage bespoke water treatment systems. Control, maintain and deliver chemicals across the site.
Transport chemical deliveries to chemical store. Ensure chemicals are managed and stored correctly using appropriate stock rotation.
Manage and maintain chemical storage area. Inclusive of cleanliness, labelling, correct storage, PPE and appropriate COSHH Risk Assessments.
Delivery and collection of chemicals/gases and subsequent waste from relevant departments as identified by Reactive task request. Ensure waste chemicals are transported appropriately and stored in the chemical waste store. Inform the Maintenance Supervisor when a Hazardous Waste collection is required.
Complete a daily PPM task to monitor and record the readings of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), RO Water and DI Water plant. Complete sample taking, analysing and chemical dosing on all water treatment systems. Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of any changes or abnormalities to the readings.
Manage, monitor and re-order water treatment chemicals for associated plant.
Record weekly meter readings throughout the site any readings that appear outside the identified tolerances should be identified to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Assist with general facilities support tasks at all levels of the operation, for example and not limited to, cleaning, painting and decorating, consumable replenishment, office moves and meeting room layout alterations.
Complete Reactive tasks, such as and not limited to, changing lamps, AHU filters, urinal cartridges and door furniture.
Ensure all assigned tasks are completed and signed off with the specified timeframe.
Contribute to providing a safe working environment for members of staff and colleagues identifying any issues through the Near Hit process.
Contribute to managing the cleanliness around the site ensuring no rubbish, redundant equipment, stock or pallets are left on roads or footpaths.
