In-House Data Centre SME Electrical Engineer (South East)£60,000 - £70,000
We are currently seeking an Electrically biased SME Engineer to work direct for a leading Data Hosting company that can offer career stability and progression within a rapidly expanding and career proofing industry.
Reporting to and assisting the EMEA Problem Manager the Electrical Engineer will provide support to region wide operational teams in the management and operation of their electrical infrastructures, focusing on problem identification and resolution. The Electrical Engineer will provide a range of support which may include technical difficulties, working with vendors to overcome intrinsic issues, working with the site teams to improve usage, efficiency aspects and identifying areas of improvement. The Electrical Engineer also plays a key role during incidents and subsequent follow-up. They will also support the sites throughout the resolution of the problem tasks.
The SME Electrical Engineer will need to have 5-10 years of experience of working in a critical Electrical environment within a large Data Centre, IT, Telecoms or suitably similar organization. They will need to demonstrate leadership of a Technical management function. Engineers will need to have a minimum Electrical HNC qualification or equivalent. Understand operational and maintenance governance principles in Electrical Engineering to a Subject Matter Expert level. Experience of taking part in and conducting root cause analyses. Be able to prepare and present relevant Technical information to all types of audiences, audio, video and stand-up settings as well as write technical and business reports to senior operational members of the business
