Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Start Date: Monday 21st December 2020
Type: Temporary with the opportunity of the role becoming permanent for the right candidate

Rate: £18ph
Pay: Weekly

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Southampton, Hampshire. PRS are currently looking for a M&E Technician to be based at a Commercial site in Southampton. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a M&E Technician with reactive and repair work experience. This is a temporary to permanent role, so therefore he or she will start on a temporary basis with an hourly rate paying £18.00 per hour. If you perform well the role could be extended/be made a permanent fixture.

The hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.
 
The role:


  • Reporting to the M&E Supervisor
  • To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
  • To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
 
The person:
  • A trade apprenticeship and relevant current qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical / mechanical discipline
  • Experience in building services is required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
  • Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
  • ISOH or equivalent H&S training preferred
     
    Experience:
  • building services: 1 year (Required)
  • C&G level III electrical qualifications or equiv: 1 year (Required)
 
Education:
  • Certificate of Higher Education (Required)
