Job description
We are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer (electrically biased) to work on a resident contract in the Glasgow area. The maintenance Electrician will cover remedial and servicing works within the facility, including lighting, power and building services plus general fabric and basic mechanical plant upkeep.The role is a temporary ongoing position paying 15.50/hr. Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.30
Due to the nature of the role a recent DBS or disclosure Scotland will be required.
Description
Within the electrician role you will be working carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility. You will be working over a diverse site therefore a flexible approach is required as you will often be called to carryout or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake remedial works and planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical, control, basic mechanical and building fabric systems
To cover all electrical distribution, controls, lighting, emergency systems, building services
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering
To undertake works on the power supply, lighting, power generation, HVAC, UPS, A/C units, etc
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
Skills & Background Required :
Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 1 & 2 or SNVQ Level 3
ideally 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
PPM and reactive maintenance experience
Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment
Must be presentable and reliable
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
DBS or Disclosure Scotland
