Maintenance Electrician
Temp to perm end salarry £33,000
Leamington Spa

We are recruiting for an experienced resident electrician completing PPM, reactive maintenance and small works installation on a prestigious facility in the Leamington Spa area. The position is initially a contract role with a view to transfer into a permanent role.
The Electrician role will involve plant room, lighting, power, building services and HV works.
The role has two phases, first phase will be Mon-Friday circa 40 hours per week (based on 33k basic / £15.86/hr)
The second phase will transfer into a 4 on-4 off shift pattern (days) plus a 10% shift allowance on the 33k
Within the resident electrician role you will be working within a team of engineers carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the commercial facility. This will also include small works installations and refurbishments
Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical, control, basic mechanical and building fabric systems
To cover all maintenance of electrical distribution, controls, lighting, emergency systems, building services plant room electrical systems including HV (High Voltage) where appropriate.
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering on the facility
To undertake minor installation works such as lighting and small power installations
To carryout fault finding on systems up to 415v
To carry out HV works and switching
To undertake electrical works on the BMS, power supply, lighting, power generation, HVAC, UPS, A/C units, etc
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
Skills & Background Required :
Full UK driving licence
Recognised Electrical qualification e.g. City & Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 1 & 2 or NVQ Level 3
18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Ideally a former HV AP and willing to undergo again
Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment
Must be presentable and reliable
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
